# Share your country's story

*As of September 2026.*

This page is for a government team, a UNDP country office or an implementing partner who wants their DPI safeguards work published on this Hub. It sets out what qualifies, exactly what we ask for, and what happens after you send it.

You do not need to have finished anything. A country can be published before it has results.

## Does your work qualify

Three things have to be true before a story can enter the pipeline.

* **An identifiable DPI system.** A named system or programme, not a general commitment to digital transformation.
* **A named institution leading it.** The body accountable for the system, and whoever else delivers it with them.
* **A contact who can confirm facts.** Someone who can verify figures and clear what is published.

A signed letter of endorsement on its own is not enough. A country with nothing beyond a letter has no journey to describe yet. South Africa is published at the commitment stage with no outcome figures, because it does carry a governance structure and two pilots.

## What we ask for

Seven sections. A finished page runs to 500 to 700 words plus media, which is what the three published pages actually run to. The lengths below are guides, not limits.

Phases are named, not dated. Malawi, Brazil and South Africa all use names such as Commit, Assess and prioritise, Design and implement, Measure and sustain. Use whatever names describe your own work.

## How the page itself is built

The three published pages carry the same blocks in the same order. That is what lets a fourth be added without it reading as a different kind of page, so it is written down here rather than left to be noticed.

Phases are named, never dated: Malawi runs Commit, Assess and prioritise, Design and implement, Measure and sustain; South Africa runs Commit, Build the governance, Design and pilot, Ground it in real users, Open it to civil society. Use whatever names describe the work, and keep them in the order the work happened.

A country that cannot fill all nine is still published. See below.

## How to send it

You do not have to fill it in one sitting; Google saves a draft while you are signed in. The form asks for links rather than uploads, so you do not need a Google account to submit, and documents you already have can come by email instead.

If you would rather send what you already have by email, that is fine. Attach it to a message to [the team](https://dpisafeguards.gitbook.io/resources-hub/events-and-participation/contact) and we will convert it. The format is our problem, not yours.

## What happens after you send it

1. **You get an acknowledgement** with a named contact.
2. **We check it.** Every figure is traced to a report, a release or a named official. Figures we cannot trace are cut rather than published unattributed.
3. **We ask you for anything missing**, naming every gap in one message rather than several.
4. **We draft the page** and send you the rendered page, not a document, so you are approving what readers will actually see.
5. **You take it for clearance** if anything in it needs government sign-off. Quotes attributed to individuals, figures attributed to a government source, and any description of a gap all need clearance. Anything already public does not.
6. **We publish**, tag it, add your pin to the map, and tell you where it is.

The whole sequence is usually five to eight weeks, and most of that is clearance. It has been done in two to three weeks where the material already existed.

## If you cannot supply all of it

Three routes, in order of preference.

* **Publish at the stage you have reached.** The standard is three named phases, but a country that cannot reach that is published with the at-a-glance block and one phase, then revisited.
* **We draft from public sources** using your endorsement letter and published material, and send it to you for correction.
* **We hold a map pin** pointing at the main site showcase until there is enough for a page.
